As a follow up to article 1 and 2, there is another profound point to note. I strongly advocate that you record your music live. In order to do so effectively, you must develop the intra band synergy.
The beauty of recording with a great band is that it brings out the best in you as an artiste. Where their is effective synergy you are able to concentrate on your ministration/ performance knowing that you are well accompanied.
Start doing your recordings on stage with your band and you’ll see the sense of synergy grow beyond bounds.
Let me make this clear at this point. When people listen to a band, they care less about the individual dexterity of the musicians. The main focus of ordinary listeners is the beauty formed by the combined contributions of the musicians. So i’m not necessarily talking about hiring the “tightest ” instrumentalists around. Skill is definitely important however, it’s the capacity of the musicians to synergise as a whole that matters most.
Finally, as a side note, ensure that in building synergy for your stage recordings, you do it with musicians who you share similar ideals with eg belief, ideologies, etc.
God bless you!
Keep making great recordings live…
